kdradio in Linux

http://www.kdradio.com/listen_now.asx

Do you know how to make this link work with my system (see Signature)?
It works with Windows, so I know the URL is good.

Thanks

I right clicked your link and saved in my Downloads folder. I opened my Gnome-Mplayer and told it to open /home/username/Downloads/listennow.asx

Attachment 15154

I guess you can do the same in Mint. Use VLC, Clementine, or what ever full featured media player you have in Cinnamon and do the same.

rokytnji - you hit the nail on the head.
I install your player just to be sure.
One problem though. It won't quit.
The x in the corner, don't work. The Menu Quit, don't work. Ctrl-Q, don't work.
I had to reboot, to stop it.

I got a reply from the radio station.

Our stations only stream for the Windows Media Player.

rokytnji - My bad. Your method works. I had put the URL into a file.
Apparently, that was what kept the session from quitting.
By saving the URL in a folder, and not in a file, is the way to go.

You the man!
