js in browser

my browser (mozlla) can't view most javascript... please help... well i've installed a few packages but none of them seem to make a diffrence.

Edit -> preferences -> Advanced -> Script and Plugins, check the enable javascript checkbox for navigator.

thanks ... erh didn't really work but i'm installing more plugins... but can't find the mozilla dir, tryed seraching for it but no cake... tryed looking under the link but it seems to link to a non existant file... any help please? Can anyone tell me where the mozilla dir is?

to enable to java plugin
cd to /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins

issue command
ln -s /usr/lib/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
