joining domain in a single command


hi

how to join a domain in a single command (without prompting for a password)

hi thanks for prompt reply,

example

(net join ads -S SERVERNAME -U Username

it prompts for a password and after providing password it joins the Domain)


but what i am searching for is a single line for command and password for joining the domain

i tried this but it gives error

net join ads -S SERVERNAME -U USERNAME%PASSWORD

application to a machine account password that has already been stored in Active Directory.

information is piped into stdin, either by typing at the command line or otherwise, will be
stored as the literal machine password. Do NOT use this without care and attention as it
will overwrite a legitimate machine password without warning. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
