it's also a question of education and etiquette

I was astonished by the beware:newcomers to linux thread..of course we have all been newbies and everyone can think and say what he feels but it's also a question of education and etiquette,we are not Cave Men..so i think anyone should also check that the expression in the forum always be in certain terms of education and netiquette..and i think you all agree

bye !

So true.. that's the problem with the 'supposed anonymity' of the net. People think they are anonymous and can lash out without reprisal. It's better not to reply at all, than to don the flame thrower and blaze away, especially in an environment such as this one that is pro Linux.

I attempted to post a coherent reply to that thread that touched on each point without posing any sort of attack ( I think I managed it OK.... ) but I'll admit it is difficult at times. I can't tell you how many threads I have skipped over entirely because I felt I couldn't reply without being mean spirited.

A simple reminder for common courtesy is needed occasionally.

Thanks !
