currently am the only user logged in the system and the application and database is completely down now.. the output of TOP command shows 99% are free..could'nt find anything fishy in /var/log/messages

OS RHEL ES 4.0 update 4

what could be the reason and how can I resolve this as this is the production
server ..

Hi there, even though I have no idea what you are talking about, I think it would be very helpful if you change the 'Subject' of the post. Be more explicit. Take a look at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...osting-356388/
