Is there way to recover a overwritten log file.


While renaming a file, it happened to overwrite a log file.Is there any to return back the original data.

Hi, if you're lucky the FS has renamed the old file as "filename~"

Check that first, you may need to open "as text file" or access it from a text editor and

then rename the file <edit>and save it in /home/.... You may not be able to save to /usr/log
