Is there any Platform available like 'vimgenius.com' for practicing other Linux commands?


I am new to ubuntu Linux and trying to learn its command and concepts but dont know how can i get instructions to utilize commands i have learned? i wish there was a website like vimgenius.com for other linux commands as well like find,grep,locate etc but i could not find. Thank you so much

There isn't, to my knowledge. However, I would strongly suggest reading the man pages for those commands, as well as just running them. There are many options to each command, and running a "find" won't damage your system. Grep can be more complicated, since that (can) delve into the regular expressions arena, which is a huge subject in itself (with dedicated books).

The best way to figure those commands out, in my opinion, is just to use them to solve problems that you're having. You can readily find examples of the commands, and then tailor them to fit your needs. That will accomplish the same things as a web page would.

One might play around at distrotest.net in a virtual instance of your favorite distribution.
Each instance is pretty cramped for resources, but enough for testing and practice of command lines.

Nothing better to learn as screwing up your system and figure out how to fix it. Not only you learn the tool you used to screw up, but also the tools used to fix it.

IMHO, you should not be affraid to try and experiment as long as you have an up-to-date backup for just in case
