Is it possible to boot from CD directly from GRUB?

Hello.

I've installed SUSE 9.3 on a 20GB PATA hd, and after a lot of turmoil I convinced GRUB that it can boot WinXP from my SATA drive (using a map command). I also noticed the option to boot from a floppy, and i was wondering if it's possible to instruct GRUB to boot from a CDRom also.

I looked around and haven't found a subject concerning this, but if somebody else had this question before, I apologise for not looking around enough.

Thanks in advance for all the answers.

ape.

Okay ... so here are a few things I thought that should be put up:

/etc/fstab

Code:
/dev/hda3 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/hda5 /mnt/netefeseu ntfs defaults 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
/dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs noauto,fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
/dev/dvdram /media/dvdram subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/boot/grub/device.map

Code:
(cd0)	/dev/cdrecorder
(fd0)	/dev/fd0
(hd1)	/dev/sda
(cd1)	/dev/dvdram
(hd0)	/dev/hda
/boot/grub/menu.lst

Code:
# Modified by YaST2. Last modification on Mon Aug 1 21:08:47 EEST 2005

color white/blue black/light-gray
default 0
timeout 10
gfxmenu (hd0,2)/boot/message

All I want is not to enter BIOS every time I want to boot from a CDRom, just boot into my regular GRUB and from there to the CDRom. Where am I going wrong here?

I've also found this on a forum, and I'm afraid my efforts are in vain: "It is currently impossible to chainload to a CDROM, Grub does not understand ISO9660"

If that's the case I thank you guys for your answer(s), if not, keep `em coming

Okay. It seems nobody has a clue about this, so I'll drop it, although it would have been a nice option ...

Thanks to Bryanlee for trying to help.
