ipalias disappearing problem


Could anyone tell me that why the ip's that are plumbed on a physical interface using ipalias disappears?

do you have them saved to /etc/network/interfaces or /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethX:X(depending of OS)?

yes, the ip was plumbed on bond0.110 and hence was present in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcg-bond0.110 . but the problem was once it got plumbed, the ip would get disappeared. Is there any dependency for this problem from rhel OS POV?
