Angry Ip confliction problem consol mode.

Hi all,

How can i figure out whether my LAN card's IP is conflicting or not? On win box i got a message whenever ip confliction occurred. what about linux consol mode?

Thnx in advance.

in windows goto msdos prompt and type: ipconfig /all
in linux goto a terminal and type: ifconfig -a

ping each others IP to test them...

well, i know that "ifconfig -a" is a command for checking the lan card ip and loopback address...is this also used for checking IP Conflict status?
