interview question

How do you:
(a) stop a fork bomb if you are already logged into a system.
(b) delete a log file that apache is using and hasn't start apache yet, how would you go about recovering that log file?

Reboot.

More serious answer: you should never have to. Linux has fork bomb protections built in. See:

Welcome to LQ.

Please review the link in my signature about how to use LinuxQuestions.

My motive here is for you to understand that while LQ members are happy to help with discussion about these points, you should have given a description about what you think, described what research you've done, as well as researched the site to know that your fellow members are all volunteers not here to operate as a help desk.

Please update your question when you are ready to provide some additional information.
