Integrated Camera not working

I am dual booting Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon on a Surface Pro 7+ alongside a Windows 11 OS. I have seen a lot of posts dealing with systems that have issues with the integrated Windows cameras but nothing about my specific system and was wondering if there has been a fix for the camera not working. Any help would be appreciated!

Here are my specs when I run lsusb

Smile Hi.

I doubt this would be the same kernel but
Quote:
  • Surface devices rely on Intel's ISP for camera image processing. This means that the webcam also requires some user-space processing. While patches are being upstreamed, not all devices are supported (even with this project), and more work remains to be done.

also see: https://github.com/linux-surface/lin...Camera-Support

but don't look at https://forum.level1techs.com/t/linu...pro-6/142114/6 hoping someone else will have better ideas than asking Mint devs or forums?
