I just bought a new home server and was thinking to install linux for the very first time (ubuntu).
I downloaded ubuntu from the official website and created a bootable usb stick from the iso using rufus.
When I boot up using the stick I am presented with some kind of 'grub bash' command line interface.
Is there no GUI available for the installation? Did I not download the correct iso?
Could you post the name of the file you downloaded?
Also, in that "grub bash" interface can you select the Ubuntu entry? Can you use the arrow keys to move the selection up and down? If so move it to the one that says Ubuntu and press enter to boot.
Can you post a screenshot or a photo? You get the dialogs enabling you to attach a file to a post by clicking the "Go Advanced" button beneath the compose post window.
