I'm trying to install mandrake linux 8.1 on my laptop and i was wondering if there was anyway to start the installation process from a pure dos prompt. I can't boot from the cd i have and i don't have a floppy drive. I'll appreciate any pointer anyone can give.
Have never used or tried this, but i'm sure there is a way to load the setup using loadlin.exe which is and should be on the install cd. There should be a readme.
i looked for loadlin.exe but it wasn't on the install cd. anyone know if there is a similar programme like the autoboot programme in Red Hat on the Mandrake 8.1 cd?
