installing GNOME in 9.1

Howdy folks,

I really am a newbie and have just completed a complete (successful) install of Mandrake 9.1 I failed to check the box beside GNOME to be installed and really want the GUI to be active on boot. Can someone help me get this done?

Thanks.
Mac

This is as easy as pie......

Go to the start button in KDE or the k Configuration > Packaging and Install Software...

Remember when you login your going to have to select the Session tab and gnome session in order to go into it.....

later ....

have fun....

Thanks a million,

Now tell me why I cant get on line! It is getting a dynamic IP from my dhcp server and it shows up in the networking setup screen - I have also assingned a static IP to it but that wont get me on either. When I do the test"connect" it shows sending and recieving but when I go to Mozilla it cant resolve DNS.

What you think?

Thanks,
Mac

Your going to have to elaborate or I could end up writing a Book. That is about 1000 pages long on networking and this could still leave you with no connection on Cisco Routers alone I could write other 800 to 1000 pages so be more specific in your answer.

later.....
