Hi,
Thanks for the reply and encouragement! I need it as Debian is turning out to be a challenge for this old Windows user!
I think that I have found the drivers I need here:
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...estionID=18896
I'm looking at the FireGL™ 4/3/2/1 series.
They appear to come in 2 flavors - tarball or .rpm. Right now I'm struggling with learning how to install them after downloading.
I "think" that I have found that a program called "alien" is necessary to install the rpms - still clueless as to how to un-tar and install the tarball.
I don't actually see any hard instructions on the site as far as installation - I also read somewhere that there is an actual installer for ati drivers ... still looking for that.
I would prefer to use a distribution that would recognize and install (at installation) the proper drivers but I figure at least I'm learning going this route.
Thanks so much for any other info you care to offer.
