install 2 linux distrib on 1 disk

Hi,
i am a really newbie! i've intalled a winxp on hda1, an uhu linux on hda2, a swap partition on hda3 and a frugalware linux on hda5. How can i set my GRUB config file in order to have the possibility for boot any of the 3 op. system? Because now i can only boot either winxp or the latest installed linux distro.
thanks in advance!

First locate your grub configuration file. For example, /boot/grub/grub.conf, open the file in a text editor and you should be able to see something like this:

default=1
timeout=10
....
title Red Hat XXX
root (hd0, 0)
...

title XP
root(hd0,0)
...

title <your third OS> <---- Is it in your grub.conf ???

and etc. If you want to choose to boot from your installed 3 different OS, make sure it is included in your grub config file.

Hope it helps.

thank you for answering! i am not at my cmputer now but i'm going to check my config file.

honestly i think my 3rd OS also included in the config file because when the system boots up, i am asked whether which OS i want to choose (win, lx1, lx2) but if i choose lx2 instead of booting i get error#15 message (if i remember well).

Error 15 means you have not specified the correct kernel image to boot but disk/partition info is fine. So just open up the config file and make sure you give correct location and name.

Tux,
