instal problem


hey!!!

I have runed linux before, but im not so good at it. Ive got some problem with the instalation. When i but the cd in and restart the computer,so dosent it start, xp starts as usual. i bought the cd so it is not becouse of the cd. it seems to me that it is some wrong with the boot.
Is there any other way you can instal linux. Ive got a extended harddriver, can you but i livecd on that?

Check the bios settings... make sure you have your cd/dvd unit as a first boot device.
