Giving a post a descriptive title will help you get the answers that you are looking for. The title "Im confused please help" is prob the way most of the people asking questions is this forum are feeling, yet they give descriptive titles and receive prompt correct(occasionally ) advice. Try to search/google on how to install software on Mandrake.

Probably the eaisiest way is to double click on the rmp file. This should bring up the dialog box for super user password.
The other way is by command line as super user e.g
#su
your password here
rpm - ivh fullpathto.rpm

NOTE the if you neen help rpm --help will bring up the options.
