I need Linux tutorials


Hi guys,nice to join you people.
Am very new in Linux and i have just installed Ubuntu version 11.04.
can any one send me tutorials to keep me up to speed on how to work with Linux(Ubuntu)

Hi and welcome to LQ.

Use google search. There are hundreds of linux/ubuntu tutorials.

It also depends what you want to do with ubuntu. Try using it and ask questions when you're stuck.

linux usage

Thank you buddies for your first response.
i want to use my machine for programming and designing(graphics)
Is there anyone with advice about it. or even a recommendation.

1> Language of programming

What kind of programming?

In terms of graphic design, you have got gimp (bitmaps), inkscape (vector), blender (3d animation)

Basically i want to do c#,java and perl.
for database mysql and posgresql and a bit of web development.i don't want to major in any language.

Now it is clear that you want to do some web development and web page designing.

If you want to use Java and C# then best way to do it in Linux is ECLIPSE IDE. Just search in google for Eclipse IDE JAVA you will get lot of tutorial and download package from Eclipse site.

You can use Gimp,Inkscape for graphic design.
