I need help with command line interface


Hi there, my name is david and this is my first time to linux OS and I still have a lot of problem with the CLI.
Can someone please help how i can view the build date in linux kernel version?

Hi and welcome to LinuxQuestions!

The command
Code:
uname -v
specifically returns the kernel version along with the build date. The command
Code:
uname -a
returns all the information about the running kernel.
