Ok, i dont know how to install drivers. i have 10.4 Version of ubuntu.

yup. in XP i just download and install nvidia 5.10 but there is no such for linux

NVIDIA do provide drivers for Linux, as well as instructions for installing them. Just go their website and look for them.

Why would you install nvidia graphics drivers ? You have an ATI graphics card.

ok then, you can tell where i should download driver from ? and where and how i need to install it ? i have ati radeon 9200 Pro !

I don't know why you doubt that those are the "real" drivers, but yes they seem to be, if you're using x86_64. There's even a link to installation instructions!

Forget going to vendor's sites and downloading programs there. Almost everything you need is available by your package manager. In Ubuntu, to get propriety drivers, go to System->Administration->And it should be hardware drivers or something, can't remember off the top of my head.

System->Administration->Hardware Drivers , there is empty tabs and my only chances are close and help...

System->Administration-> "Hardware Drivers".


And generally : You do not download software for Linux.
All other software is present in the Package Manager =
Synaptic. A couple of clicks : And it gets installed.

Open source drivers for your video card were installed and configured for use by default. What makes you think you're supposed to install other drivers?
