Question httpd.allow?

Hi everybody!

I have one question; maybe for someone is very easily, but really it's not for me

In my job, one computer has DNS; actually, is the email server. We've buyed one computer and installed Linux Slackware. Our objective is that computer allows email's from others users.
Our problem?. I may send emails from these new computer, but it doesn't receive. And, i'll need to use it's numeric IP because it doesn't has DNS.
Somebody tells me that the problem consist in the httpd.allow from the computer with DNS; that we need to indicates (something like "tells him") the existence of these new computer to these form, i'll may use a name to my new computer.
Is it truth?, and, how do i make these?
Thank's

I don't know for sure. What I would do is try listing the IP of the machine that cannot connect in the hosts.allow file and see if that works. Check to see if the IP isn't already in the hosts.deny file, because it may have gotten in there by someone accidently triggering security software on your DNS server.
