How to validate linux keypad drivers

hi
I am new to linux development, and in the process to improve my linux development skills and understand linux device drivers, I have taken a task to validate the existing keypad drivers.
So I am trying to get some pointers from this forum as what is the right way to begin with.

Any leads will really help me to get started.

Thanks,
Chin.

Not a good one to start with. I assume you mean keyboard - and keyboard handling includes internal buffering, routing, and a fair amount of press/release events. Plus it may depend on a USB connection (which is yet another layer of drivers...).

If you want to start, pick a much simpler driver. There are a number of basic print drivers you can check. I believe there are even a few projects on the net for creating drivers for simple USB devices.
