How to use ncurses for g++?

I want to make a simple ascii game with ncurses, but I've scoured the net and haven't found how to setup the stuff before you begin coding.

I'm using g++. I found that ncurses is, in fact, installed through the package manager (i think it's pirut). But, I don't know where to go from here. Any help would be awesome.

BTW, I'm using fedora Core 8.
