How to start GDM automaticly

I download a GDM and install it correctly, but It seems it cannot

start automaticly after all the services have started at the booting time,

I have added it in the init.d list but it doesn't work!

can someone help me with that ? that would be very thanksful.

PS: my system is a Debian system.

Check under your /etc/X11/default-display-manager

it should contain only the path to gdm..

I believe it's "/usr/bin/gdm"

-sorry i'm not on debian right now(or linux for that matter)

good luck..
