how to start ftp service in Red Hat Linux release 7.1 (Seawolf)


can any body tell me how to start ftp service in Red Hat Linux release 7.1 (Seawolf)???

How did you install the FTP apps? You can start in any many ways. Editing the inetd or xinetd, the run the service, or running the binary file itself.

i want to start default ftp service provided by linux.for that i have seen in init.d and xinet.d, in xinet.d i found tftp & wu-ftpd. So,which of them should i to start? and how?

ftp prompt

is it possible to redirect the o/p of ls command to the /tmp/nirmit.txt in the ftp prompt??
i have tried
ftp> ls>/tmp/nirmit.txt
and
ftp> ls | /tmp/nirmit.txt

bt both are not working... So please tell me what to do???
