How to retrieve my my /home/name Dir from lost+found?

Hello Trickykid or another Linux guru, last week I upset my system,
as I explained I lost my /home/name Dir ,,,, I have tried everything
to correct the situation without success, it is possible I am consolidating
the problem. I inadvertently moved my home directory to a file
that I was moving from home to /usr Dir ((((((((((setting up Java
virtual manager in mozilla))))))))))). I have no back-up for the /home
Dir. Please does anyone know how to retrieve my /home/name Dir
to its original configuration. If it means restoring by using a
reconstruction I do not have the knowledge or capability on
this subject.

I would appreciate any suggestions or help, at the moment
I can boot into text mode with Trickykids advice. I have been
unable to restore the system to normal.
Regards Mike C.

Do you know where your home directory is now? If it is intact, you can log into a console and use the mv command to move it back. If you don't know were in /usr it went to try using the find command.
find /usr -name <username> -type d

Hello jschiwal, the home directory seems to be
fragmented, I just do not know how to put it together.
The other users are ok, unfortunately I only gave myself
the administrative rights. There is always hope as you say
I can still fire up the text console but I do miss the graphics.
Thanks for your input, I have read several reference books
but I cannot find a help me folder for this situation.
Best regards Mike C.
