[SOLVED] How to recover/reset log on password of user other than root

Hello everyone,

I have to logg on to my Fedora 9 after so many months. I remember that I had two user accounts. One was root and other one was mq15. I, luckily, rememer the password for root, but don't remember mq15 password. I am not very experienced user but I know that root has all the rights. So I need root to reset/recover my mq15 password. Please help me.

Hello,

Just run as root:

Code:

passwd mq15

That will ask for a new password and confirmation. After that you can logout and login as mq15 with the new password.
