How to read .chm file in fedora, can't mount ntfs file system
Dear all,
I am using Fedora core 2 and out of curiosity installed the server version. My other OS is windows Xp. I tried to read a .chm file in that partition. It is O'Relley's 'TCP/IP network administration' e-book. So i was to mount that in my Fedora to have a hands on practice. But unable to mount it as it says (as far as i recall) 'ntfs not supported by the karnel'.
I tried different ways to solve this problem. I tried to include a line like 'nodev ntfs' in /proc/filesystems file changing its mode. It caused an error(can't remember right now) and i could not write a line to that file.
Unable doing so i just copied that chm file and tried to read. But this time don't know which application to use to read it. So please help me sorting out these problems.

Hi.
For your fist problem, ntfs is not support be fc.
You will have to reconfigure the linux kernel and recompile it to make it work you can go to the site http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net to download its software.
Hi
I used konqueror as you said but it asks for an application to start with. Please let me know that name. I found (somewhere, can’t remember now) gnuchm/gnochm is a chm file reader in Gnome session. But found no such application, do you know anything about it?
Please guide me a bit precisely where to and what to look for-which file to download? I downloaded a RPM but it doesn’t work. It is called xchm-0.9.8-1.i386.rpm. Does it make any sense to you??
Thanks.
Yes! I have downloaded the mentioned RPM and tried to intall by 'rpm -i' command. Not sure if it was successfully installed. Does it require any prerequisite RPMs to be installed??

.
In konqueror, right click a chm file and choose preview in KviewParts, it has a poor gui but it works.

-I clicked the right button but found no KviewParts using konqueror!!! Only got Kview by following "openwith->Graphics->Kview" path as I clicked the right button. The result was a black screen showing nothing.
Am i missing your point??- feeling so helpless.
Tried to install the RPM file and got the following error message:
error: Failed dependencies:
chmlib is needed by xchm-0.9.8-1
libchm.so.0 needed by xchm-0.9.8.-1
libwx_gtk-2.4.so.0 is needed by xchm-0.9.8-1
libwx_gtk-2.4.so.0(WXGTK_2.4) is needed by xchm-0.9.8-1
WXGTK is needed by xchm-0.9.8-1
-what does that mean?? please help.
