How to mount windows shared partitions and folder on rhel 6 with acl


Dear friends
as i am new, please help to mount windows storage server 2008 shared drives and folders( without password) to rhel ent server 6 through acl. I want restricted access to those drives and folders.

first, the thing is if password protected is windows drive and folder, why you again restricting on linux suing ACL. it will slow access in network.

hi vikas,
dont know how much this would help, these areee the options for mount which you can use:

A private mount carries no propagation abilities:
mount --make-private mountpoint

A unbindable mount is a private mount which cannot cloned through a bind operation.
mount --make-unbindable mountpoint

The following commands allows one to recursively change the type of all the mounts under a given mountpoint.

mount --make-rprivate mountpoint
mount --make-runbindable mountpoint

you can use all the commands in the terminal. For more help go to man page of mount.
