How to mount external USB hard drive?


I wanna to use a external USB hard drive which is connected to

my USB2.0 cardbus for its high speed, but I don't know what's

the device name and how to mount it ?

Can anyone help me ~~

That would be very very thanksful~~~~

mount /dev/sda /mnt/point -tvfat

I have tried this , but it don't work, I think the /dev/sda is my notebook's own

usb, but my USB hard drive is connected to my USB cardbus adapter,

so I don't know what the device name is...

try /dev/sdb then or /dev/sdb1, it'll be attached somewhere. oh, dont forget that you have to have usb mass storage compiled into the kernel as well.

How do I compile USB Mass storage into the kernel. I am using Xandros 2.5 Business Edition. I would expect that to already be there. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...eadid=251009&#
