how to install wireless nic in red hat 8


i am VERY new to linux and am trying to install a linksys wpc55ag nic, i have tryed installing it from the gnome menu-system settings-network, then clicking on the add button under the hardware tab, when i do this, a list of nics comes up, but mine is not in this list, is there another way to install this nic?

This link showed up right below yours in the "Similar threads" window as I was reading this morning. The author reported success with the madwifi drivers. See if that works for you.
