The .src.rpm is source code that needs to be compiled. When you install the .src.rpm, you get a source tarball in /usr/src/.../.../SOURCES, and an rpm .spec file in /usr/src/.../.../SPECS.
Your task is to compile the binary .rpm that installs in the usual manner.
Go to the SPECS folder, and run the command 'rpmbuild -bb <filename>.spec' to build the binary rpm which will be placed in /usr/src/.../.../RPMS.
/.../.../ represents sublevels of /usr/src. The exact path will vary among rpm based distros.
