Hi, Welcome to LinuxQuestions!

I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

To use my phone (an Android one) First I plug my phone into an unused USB port on my computer, Then I go to the setup on my phone then select:

"Connected Devices," which now shows a "USB" connection.

tapping on "USB" gives me another menu where I select "Use USB for" : File transfer.

A window then opens which allows me access to the phone just as if it were a USB memory stick.

No additional drivers needed, no Linux setup needed, the phone is a memory stick.

Hope that helps. I'd think your phone should work in a similar way to mine

Play Bonny!

It appears your phone is Android. The fastboot commands are entered on your android phone. See this link

-->https://technastic.com/fastboot-commands-list/

It looks like you will be installing things on your phone.

Most android phones can be accessed with a USB connection as Soadyheid has stated. So basically this is not a linux question at all.
