Welcome to Linux Questions.

Version 0.9.6 > > g2ipmsg-0.9.6.tar.gz
http://www.ipmsg.org/index.html.en
look for " GNOME2 IP Messenger by T.Kato (2008/10/27) "

Older versions written for an old compiler will not
compile in a modern Linux OS. (ver 0.4 is from 1999)

May be some info here
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ghlight=gipmsg

Package, Ubuntu Gutsy
http://archive.ubuntu.com.cn/ubuntu-...-i386/g2ipmsg/

Good Luck !
