How to install drivers/driver patches in Linux?

Ok, sorry im a complete novice at Linux. I have a question (well I actually have many, but ill start with this.) I have a driver patch for my wireless card for my laptop and I would like to know how to apply it. The patch is in a .patch format. I am running FC10. How might I go about applying this patch? Thanks soooo much.

Check out the patch command (type in "man patch" at the command-line). If you don't have it, you can install it by typing in (as root), "yum install patch".
