Ok.

Here is the entry for crontab job.

Code:
[user01@centos-flash test]$crontab -l
* * * * * /test/perforce_opened_files.sh
[user01@centos-flash test]$
Apparently the error is coming down there @ "process substitution", I asked one of unix admin but he didnt knew about that...

And you are using bash in the #! and not sh? Unfortunately I am not much of a cron expert so maybe one of the other people might chime in. My first thought is that somehow
cron is executing it as a POSIX script which I believe does not support process substitution.

Yes grail I am executing it as bash and not sh.

That's fine grail , no problemo, if I receive input from somebody that would be great else I shall see how I go with this one.
