how to enhance acceleration of mouse

I am using the wireless mouse Genius NX-7000. As the acceleration seems a bit low I want to enhance it. Yet fiddling with
the GUI-based settings > keyboard and mouse > settings of input devices seems to have no effect at all.

So I tried this:

Code:
xinput list | grep -i mouse
⎜ ↳ MOSART Semi. Wireless Mouse id=9	[slave pointer (2)]
Code:
xinput list-props 9
Device 'MOSART Semi. Wireless Mouse':
	Device Enabled (126):	1
	Coordinate Transformation Matrix (128):	1.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 1.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 1.000000

	libinput Accel Profiles Available (275):	1, 1
	libinput Accel Profile Enabled (276):	1, 0
libinput Accel Profile Enabled Default (277):	1, 0
libinput Left Handed Enabled (278):	0

	Device Node (252):	"/dev/input/event2"
	Device Product ID (253):	1112, 389
	libinput Drag Lock Buttons (280):	<no items>
libinput Horizontal Scroll Enabled (281):	1
Yet I´m not sure how to proceed further.
Could someone help please?

Tnx in advance.
Rosika

i have this in my autostart.sh:
Code:
xinput --set-prop 12 'libinput Accel Speed' 1 # speed for the wired mouse
you probably need to adjust the device number.
in my experience this is the highest setting, but maybe yours can go higher.
