Unhappy

Yeap ! I have a rescue disk and I'm in that mode right now. Cheched the grub.conf, it looks ok. Have spent to much time with no clue yet !!!

It was able to boot from Sata disk root(hd1,0).

****** grub.conf ******

title Fedora Core (2.6.9-1.667)
root (hd1,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb quiet
initrd /initrd-2.6.9-1.667.img

********************

It was hung after:
-----------------------
Uncompressing Linuz... Ok, booting the kernel.
.
.
Red Hat nash version 4.1.18 starting

-(blinking cursor)

-----------------------------
Is it related to this "udev" bug ?

http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/udev/

Thanx, Bikerle

im not too familiar with grub, so i though maybe you could try lilo and see if it works...technically i dont see any reason why it shouldnt work, so i think you will have better luck if you repost your grub file on LQ.org saying 'hard disk boot problem' or something similar...sorry i cant help you further...dont lose hope man!
