How to creat a gnome desktop shortcut to "my_music" folder?


i have a floder in /home/hkl8324/my_music

how can i make a desktop shortcut to that folder?

thanks

In a terminal type:

ln -s /home/hkl8324/my_music /home/hkl8324/Desktop

ln is the link command.
-s means the link will be symbolic.

When using ln, it's always
ln from to
Or in other words,
Link file/folder A to location B.
Do this as user not as root (because you're working in your home dir).
