How to compile linux kernel?


I have Debian 5 machine on which I want to compile the kernel 2.6.35 as per my project requirement.can someone suggest me easy steps to do that?

You can follow this guide; "just kinda read between the lines on what you need to do"

http://kernel.org/

replace the kernel in that guide with the one you want to use;

google is also your friend... might find a debain one you are looking for;

Just googled around and found this link

Seems to be right one for latest kernel starting from 2.6.35
