How to compile linux kernel?

I have Debian 5 machine on which I want to compile the kernel 2.6.35 as per my project requirement.can someone suggest me easy steps to do that?

You can follow this guide; "just kinda read between the lines on what you need to do"

replace the kernel in that guide with the one you want to use;

google is also your friend... might find a debain one you are looking for;

Seems to be right one for latest kernel starting from 2.6.35

errr sorry shadow... thought you were the original poster. lol between helping here, and doing my work. I got a little fuzzy minded lol
