How to check a different distro with yum

In order to install php 7.4.4, I needed to use the REMI distro and to do that I ran some commands so now that is the distro (lost the commands I used).

Apparently REMI does not have phpMyAdmin so I need to have yum look in the centos 8 distro, but I do not know how to do that.

Any help would be appreciated - especially on how to get a better understanding for switching yum to other distros and how to find the names of the most used for Centos 8.

With appreciation...

remi is a repository not a distribution. I assume you are asking about a list of repositories available.

According to howtoforge phpmyadmin is not available in the default CentOS 8 repositories and therefore you need to download it from their official website. There are several guides on how to install phpmyadmin for CentOS 8 that you can find with a quick search but I personally have not verified them so your on your own.
