I'd like to burn Fedora Core 4 CD's in Aurox 11.0. I've got K3b 0.11.23 version of the program.
But it seems that there is no option for burning ISO images in it. If there is please write how
to do it. Step by step. If there is not maybe someone could direct me to suitable program.
I heard about 'cdrecord' but there is no examples concerning burning ISO's in help.
If you know write example command line in 'cdrecord' which would cause burning.
"Open the CD copy dialog"
"Opens CD-blanking dialog"
"Format DVD-RW/DVD+RW"
I have the iso image of a distro I want to try, but can't figure out how to use K3d to burn a CD from an iso image.
I've found the advice " Tools -> Burn CD Image" on this forum and elsewhere, but the information is useless if one has no "Tools" menu to start with.
Also, K3d doesn't know where my CD burner is located. I presume there is someplace in the non-existent menu to configure K3d with this type of information.

That's really strange, and just plain wrong. I checked every Google page for 'k3b "no menu"' and I can't find any symptoms resembling yours. Have you tried upgrading/re-installing? According to the K3B website they are at version 0.12.7 as of last week (though I'm sure 0.11.7 should still have a menu in).
If that doesn't work, it may be something to do with your windowing environment - but the fact that no-one else has reported this suggests that there's something more simple at work here.
I downloaded and compiled the source for vers 0.12.7 and that fixed the problem.
Right clicking in the toolbar now produces a toolbar menu which allows configuration of the menus. I was able to add the tools I needed to the Tools menu. Also, when I started up the program, a window opened requesting the root password and I was able to change drive permissions to allow my user to burn a CD. I was then able to successfully burn from the iso image for the OS I wanted to try.
