How to assign two groups rwx permission to a directory and its content

Hello Members,

Let me know. How to assign two groups +rwx permission to a directory and its content.

I want that a directory should have read write and execute permission for two groups : root and PEfolks and execute permission for others.

one more thing, ACL does not works on my filesystem.

it should show some thing like this:

drwx-rwx-x root root,PEfolks cgi-bin

Without ACLs you cannot assign permissions to more than one group. What type of filesystem do you have that supports Linux permissions and IDs but cannot use ACLs?
