Welcome to LQ.

The "Dag Wieers" packages are in the 'rpmforge.repo' (too)
https://rpmrepo.org/RPMforge/Using

Download the required setup package, e.g. i386
http://packages.sw.be/rpmforge-relea...l5.rf.i386.rpm
> > rpmforge-release-0.5.1-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm

.. and install it with ..
# rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.1-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm

You will need the 'epel.repo' too :
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/FAQ#howtouse

Installing Nagios in Centos 5.3

Oh I have successfully installed nagios 3.1.2 in centos 5.3. Now i am facing some difficulties in adding new windows machine to this server.

I know that i have to configure the following file for the very "first" windows machine in Nagios Server.

vi /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/windows.cfg

Now what i have to do from the second windows machine??? Do i need to give entry in the same "/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/windows.cfg" file or i have to make a new file???

Can anybody give me a clue

under the

HOST DEFINITIONS

section - add all your windows hosts following the example.
Then add them to a group following the

HOST GROUP DEFINITIONS

example

Then the service definitions.

I use the NSClient++ on my windows machines, but use the nrpe part of it as i found that easier to get going then NSClient++ but remember, NSClient++ also includes nrpe which listens on 5666.

When/if you download NSClient++ for your windows machines, please read the instructions which are in a pdf file in the download. That will get you up and running.
