Question How do you burn a DVD with K3b?

I've got my DVD recorder and disk.... K3b and a VIDEO_TS folder. What do I do in K3b to make a DVD player readable DVD in K3b?

You need k3b along with k3b-dvd installed to read/write to DVD's. Also you'll probably need cdrecord-2.01 or greater which has support for DVD writing.

is this for "backing up" your movies?

if so use dvdbackup (dvdbackup -M /dev/dvd /mnt/storage) to get the disc to your hard drive w/o the messy encryption the movie companies bother us with.

then run dvd shrink in wine (wine dvdshrink.exe "d:/mnt/storgage/MOVIE_TITLE/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS.IFO") to shrink movie to fit a dvd-5, also you can rip out extras/menus/languages, split dvd into multiple discs (with start/end points on multiple passes), and finally build iso...

then use k3b to burn dvd iso

fastest and most efficient way to "backup" dvd's that i've found so far. works awesome!
