How do I run/install a -ng file/folder/program thing?
I am a kind of techno-geek, sadly I know nothing about Linux though. Recently I decided I was going to learn how to crack WEP encryption. So, ive been trying to crack my own router all day with no avail. I was using wifiway with it all built in, but I realized some things were alittle out of date and everything was in spanish. So I decided to install the new version on my FC10 OS. I downloaded aircrack-ng and airoscript-ng, but I have no idea how to run them. I know they depend on eachother, so I figure they have to be in the same directory or somthing and I know they have to run in the shell but I have no idea how to run them. I extracted the tar.gz file, should I have left it alone? The folders are just filled with what apear to be text files. How do I run these? Thanks so much.

When you decompressed them, there are installation instructions. Read them, as any "techno-geek" would.....
Ok...what part didn't make sense???? Where did you get stuck?
If you're having trouble with the install docs, chances are anything to do with package installation and setting up online repositories will also not make sense....
