I personally use Gcombust - simple, and gives you access to all the options that commandline cdrecord has. Although you could just use cdrecord from the commandline and achieve the same effect

Either way you'll need o have the cdrtools package installed (it probably is already).

For burning audio CDs, I find this reference helpful: http://www.linux.com/howtos/MP3-CD-Burning/audio.shtml

You can install K3B (similar to Nero), or the Nero version for Linux,
or burn from CLI with the raw power of Linux. These are commands:
Quote:
To burn an image of a CD to the hd
# dd if=/dev/hd* of=namethecd.iso

To make a CD from the iso image
# cdrecord -v -eject driveropts=burnfree dev=/dev/hd* /path/to/file.iso

To burn an iso to DVD

# growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hd*=image.iso
# /usr/bin/growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hdb=slackware-10.1-DVD.iso

In my experience, K3B is about the best Linux cd burning app out there.

If you are using slack and you want soomething similar to Nero use k3b.
In the menu it should be in with the rest of the audio apps.
Or, goto terminal type k3b.
my .02.
