newbie help needed about slackware Gnome error


hey im new to all this i just installed slackware on a crappy com and it boots up in 1024X768 , i did set it to 800X600 but not im F___Ked because everytime it boots up ... i cant see nuffin cause its all lines , and blury


anyway i can make it boot up in a diffrent rez ?

right kinda got rnd it for the moment

( pluged in diffrent moniter )

now i can read it , ive com across a 2nd problem ,

"the application Gnome-settings-deamon has quit unexpectedly

options - Close or inform developers

soon as i click close ... pops back up agian and wont go any further

What Slackware version is that? 9.1? Cause I remember having this bug on 9.1
Otherwise, just reboot the box.

no mates its 10.1 .

sorry about all this but im new to linux and Really dont have a clue .. my mate told me to get this 1 it seems so far nuffi but hasstel ,


but im sure it will be ok when i get frew the bad bits


but yes its version 10.1 dude

Has the problem returned after the reboot?

Maybe you should try Vector. It is Slackware with some newbie friendlier modifications.
